Hike the Tanama Trail in Karst country, learn about the Taíno Indians, explore caves, zipline over the canopy, cross an Indiana Jones style suspension bridge, rappel down a rock wall, and swim in natural pools. This ziplining tour has a little of everything. You can go for the half day experience or extend your adventure to a full day and include river trekking. Tours are operated by Batey Ziplining Adventures.

Please note, this ziplining tour has physical requirements. Participants should be in good (average) physical condition and adhere to weight limits of 240 pounds for men and 210 pounds for women. The weight should be proportional to the height, and in order for the harnesses to fit, waist size should be no larger than 40 inches.

These adventure tours are not suitable for people with conditions of the back, hip, knees, ankles or heart conditions.  Pregnant women should not take part in these adventure tours.

 

Classic Half Day Tour

What’s Included: 

  • Zipping through seven different lines
  • 70-foot drop rappel
  • Visit an underground river cave (kayak ride)
  • Crossing our 150-foot-long Indiana Jones style suspension bridge over the Tanamá river
  • Hike (moderate-semi intense) through interpretative paths in the forest at the beginning and at the end of the tour
  • Swim in natural pools
  • Free jumps
  • Breathtaking views of the Northern Karst forest

Full Day Adventure

After finishing the Classic Half-Day Tour, continue on a 35-minute river trek through boulders and natural pools surrounded by majestic walls of limestone rock that form the canyon, which leads us to beautiful Cueva del Arco (Arch’s Cave) where you can relax and swim under its pure spring waterfalls.
